About the project
Commissioned by Newmedia Creative Studio for the MirrorBOX™ installation at ARCO Madrid 2024, Box Dreams is an immersive experience built on projection mapping, surround sound and handcrafted animation — inviting visitors into a fantasy world of colour, movement and dreamlike space.
Developed in collaboration with Galería María Porto, the piece transforms a physical mirrored box into an expanding interior universe. Alejandro Lucadamo's illustration provides the visual foundation — intricate, symbolic, alive — animated by Agustina Covián and held together by Laurent Sauvagnac's spatial sound design.
The result is a five-minute journey that dissolves the boundary between object and environment, between the viewer and the image.
