About the project
A sensorial exploration of color, sound, and movement, inspired by The Other Spaces, a painting series by Alejandro Lucadamo, where abstract compositions already suggest an inherent movement within static forms. Through digital techniques, these paintings are transformed into dynamic, slow-moving layers that flow through space, creating evolving textures and luminous compositions. Each color within immersive sequences—Red, Blue, Yellow, and Green—unfolds in harmony with its corresponding sound frequency, engaging viewers in a synesthetic journey that blends visual art, sonic resonance, and emotional depth.
Based on the principle that colors possess inherent vibrational frequencies, which, when translated into sound, can influence cognitive and emotional states, in Chromatic Soundscapes each color is guided by its corresponding sound frequency— creating an audiovisual harmony that engages both the visual and auditory cortices of the brain, leading to an enhanced multisensory experience. The interplay of moving colors and resonant sounds activates a synesthetic response, where the boundaries between seeing and hearing dissolve, immersing the audience in a space where sensory perception is expanded and redefined.
