A visual and philosophical journey through the eternal cycle of life, death and transformation. A celebration of the interconnectedness of all beings and elements in the universe, inviting to reflect on our place in the cosmos and the cyclical nature of existence.
The End Never Ending" is an immersive animated short film that redefines the concept of the loop as a narrative tool to explore the infinite cycles of life, death, and transformation. Inspired by alchemical symbolism, mythology, and universal spirituality, this work bridges the mystical and the dreamlike, resonating with contemporary artistic sensibilities.
The project originates from an ink hand drawing made on a fax paper roll, an unconventional medium imbued with unique poetry. This format became the foundation for a 2D animation that preserves the original’s pictorial essence, transforming its lines into motion to amplify the sensory experience. The result is a symbolic universe in perpetual flow, where the viewer is immersed in a hypnotic ritual of shapes, colors, and textures.
The narrative begins and ends with the ouroboros, the eternal symbol of life and resurrection, framing a philosophical and visual journey that alternates between the divine and the human. Elements such as a sun proclaiming, “We are the resurrection of the dead star,” a bottle containing a beating heart, and a golden egg reborn as an angel enrich a story brimming with symbolism. Figures such as gods, angels, dragons, and mythical characters interact within a constantly evolving space, recreating the cosmic dance of creation and destruction.
With a handcrafted aesthetic and an abstract yet universal narrative, "The End Never Ending"invites the viewer to reflect on the interconnectedness of all beings and the cyclical nature of existence. It is a visual celebration of the eternal and the cosmic—an introspective experience that challenges linear perceptions and offers a visceral connection to the inner rhythms of life and the universe.
